As the study of life, Biological Science is one of the broadest and most important subjects in the world. Biology encompasses everything, from the study of plant and animal communities to the study of cell biology and neuroscience.

Biology students take three modules: Biology; Maths and Chemistry. You will be expected to write at least one essay per week as well as problem sheets. In the final term, you will synthesise your learning with an Extended Project.

Entrance Requirements:

You should have achieved or be predicted to achieve at least ABB in your A Levels, including A2 Biology and another Science or Maths. We accept BTECs and Scottish Highers: Offers will be made in line with the equivalent UCAS points. 

Although Biology students will study Chemistry and Maths as part of their course, these are not pre-requisites for entrance, and you will be taught at the appropriate level for your previous experience.

There are no GCSE requirements for Biology. Please note that the Biology course is designed for progression through to a Biology undergraduate course, and is not suitable for a Medicine undergraduate course.
